Remove the Mobile App from Devices

If you need to remove the Cybereason Mobile sensor from your devices, you must follow specific instructions for each type of device. Read the relevant section for instructions on how to remove devices for iOS or Android devices.

Note

If your device was added to Cybereason Mobile through an MDM platform, you do not need to perform these steps. Your Cybereason Mobile administrator performs the necessary removal and the sensor is silently removed from your device.

iOS devices

Before you remove the Cybereason Mobile sensor from a device, your Cybereason Mobile administrator should record the Device Removal code for the device. You will need this information to finish the device removal process.

On your device, do the following:

  1. Navigate to the screen with the Cybereason Mobile app and press and hold the app until the X symbol displays.

  2. Press the X symbol to delete the app.

  3. Open the Settings app.

  4. In the Settings app, open the General > Profile screen.

  5. Select Wandera Cellular Profile.

  6. In the Profile information, click Delete Profile.

  7. Enter your device passcode.

  8. If needed, when prompted, enter the device removal code.

  9. Turn off the device Wifi.

  10. In a browser, navigate to test.wandera.com and ensure the site displays a red banner.

Your device is now no longer enabled with Cybereason Mobile.

Android devices

Manual removal of the Cybereason Mobile application requires one of the following:

  • Removal of the device in the console

  • Navigation to reset.wandera.com

To remove the sensor using the console:

  1. Ensure your Cybereason Mobile administrator removes the device from console.

  2. On your device, open the Cybereason Mobile application and ensure the device is deactivated from Cybereason Mobile. If necessary, pull down on the page to refresh the Cybereason Mobile application.

To remove the sensor using reset.wandera.com:

This method should be used if you did not deploy the sensor but you have a connection to an MDM platform.

Navigate to reset.wandera.com and follow the instructions to remove the sensor.

Your device is now no longer enabled with Cybereason Mobile.
