Deploy the Cybereason Platform (Admins)

Installing the Cybereason platform involves deployment of Cybereason servers and infrastructure and deployment of Cybereason sensors on endpoint machines.

1. Deploy Cybereason servers and infrastructure

The Cybereason platform servers and infrastructure enable data collection, data analysis, and platform asset management through your Cybereason platform console.

You can deploy Cybereason servers in a Cloud deployment or an On-premises (Private Infrastructure Protection - PIP) deployment. Cybereason Technical Support installs and manages cloud servers, while you install and manage PIP servers with assistance from Cybereason Technical Support. Consult with Customer Success to determine your best option.

If you use a cloud deployment, read the topics in the Platform Deployment section for a high-level description of the deployment steps. If you use an on-premises deployment, see Private Infrastructure Protection documentation or contact your Customer Success Manager to gain access to the PIP documentation.

2. Install Cybereason sensors

Sensors collect security data from your endpoints to help discover advanced threats. On endpoint machines, the sensor can protect your endpoints against malware with prevention-based NGAV features.

You can install sensors on PCs and server machines running Windows, Mac, or Linux OS operating systems.

To install Cybereason sensors:

  1. Verify you’ve met the Pre-installation Requirements and Instructions.

  2. Install sensors on your endpoints:

See Supported OS Versions for the Sensor for supported operating systems for sensors.
